Hi,
I'm Corene
color + extension artist
Without counting the years of color experimentation in her childhood bathroom, Corene Hess started her career in 2007 after graduating high school from Waxahachie TX. She immediately went to work at a salon in Fort Worth where she found an opportunity to be an artist with L'Oréal Professional. This opportunity allowed her to work New York Fashion week, travel across the country to assist hair shows, and trained with celebrity stylists- what she now will refer to as her apprenticeship. After years of shadowing, assisting and learning, she was ready to teach her own classes.
While sharing information, Corene has never put her own education on the back burner. You'll find her across the country attending classes in New York, LA, and has received her three part balayage certification and three part color certification.
Corene enjoys travel, experience and gaining inspiration from foreign places but as the pandemic hit and travel was haulted for a few years, this brought up some questions of the future. While travel is important to Corene, Fort Worth is home so she decided to do something she said she would never do... open a salon. "I want to create a forever home for a team. Our lives change, we become partners, mothers, fathers, and caretakers. We should be able to work less in order live more and I want to cater to the modern hairdresser"
